Protests erupt in Wisconsin
US: Thousands of demonstrators continued protesting the plans
of US Republican Governors to cut tax deficit at the expense of public
workers. News reports revealed Sunday that filmmaker Michael Moore
joined protests in Madison,Wisconsin capital this weekend.
The CNN quoted Moore in his address to a crowd numbering in the tens
of thousands as saying that the wealthy had exceeded the limit, first
taking the money of the working class, and now trying to silence them.
Moore compared Wisconsin’s working class protests the uprising in
Egypt, said the CNN.
Meanwhile, the Winsconsin Governor Scott Walker, continues with his
plan to dramatically curb collective bargaining for public employees in
the state.
Saturday Protest, which followed massive demonstrations the past two
weekends, came one day after Walker notified unions that he would lay
off as many as 1,500 state workers next month.
