Cross Country champions

K G R Saman Kumara and Shanika Samanmalee emerged mens and womens champions respectively at the 22nd National Cross Country Championships held as part of the 37th National Sports Festival.

The event was organized by sports ministry and sports development department. Wayamba Province won the championship in both men’s and women’s group event while Southern Province became runner up in the men’s group event. Uwa province managed to finish at the second slot of the the women’s group event.
