Woman killed in accident

A woman who had been admitted to Colombo National Hospital following a three-wheeler accident on March 2 at Poruthota, Negombo succumbed to her injuries at Hospital Saturday. W Patricia Hans of Wella Weediya, Negombo was hit by a three-wheeler while she was walking on the pavement.

The three-wheeler driver was arrested and produced in the Negombo court yesterday. Negombo police are investigating.

Police seize shot guns

Wakarei police seized four locally made shot guns and arrested four suspects at Sinnathattamune. The person who manufactured the fire arms at Thawarikulam has also been arrested at Wakarei.

The suspects were produced in Walaichchenai Magistrate’s Court. Wakarei police are investigating.
