Three Russians remanded

Anuradhapura Chief Magistrate Darshika Wimalasiri remanded three Russians who had been arrested while excavating the Abhayagiri Archaeological Site with a metal detector recently. A D Alitsei, N M Nikita and A C Alexander of Russia have been charged on illegally excavating and inspecting an Archaeological Site using a machine.
