Rural development:
Government renders greatest service

The greatest service to rural development of the country was rendered
by the present Government, and it would not be difficult for the UPFA to
have a landslide victory in the Local Government polls, Media and
Information Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said at an election rally held
in the Udunuwara Electorate.
The Minister said that the golden era in the Local Government history
dawned during the past five years when rural development saw a rapid
progress.
Minister Rambukwella said it was the present Government which set
apart large sums of money to develop rural areas.
The Minister said President Mahinda Rajapaksa provided money in
millions through Pradeshiya Sabha members to provide more facilities for
the village population.
The Minister also addressed the meetings held at Teldeniya and
Mugatipola. |
