Wehelle Piyathilake - Maharagama special corr

Applications are being invited for the 33rd National Youth Awards Festival conducted by the National Youth Services Council.

The following fields are being included in the literature division of the festival:

Novels – Words not less than 25,000 words.

Short story – Words not less than 1,250 and not more than 1,500.

Essay – Not less than 750 and not more than 1,500 words.

Poems – Free verse between 50-60 lines. Poetry between 15-20 poems.

Lyrics – Preferred theme could be selected.

All applications should be sent to reach 33rd National Youth Awards Festival, Assistant Director (Aesthetic Division), The National Youth Services Council, 65, High Level Road, Maharagama on or before March 15, 2011. Three copies of the creations should be annexed with the application.

The 33rd National Youth Awards Festival will be held in Colombo from December 26-28. The competitions are being conducted in Sinhala, Tamil and English mediums.
