Equal opportunities for women - President

Sri Lanka has launched a giant program to ensure the country’s development through which it hopes to make the living of women and all others easy, President Mahinda Rajapaksa said in a message to mark International Women’s Day which falls today.

President Rajapaksa said that the provision of equal opportunities to women to be shareholders of the country’s development process is important since through this women could be further strengthened. The President said that it is the duty of all to enable women to render their services at maximum to make the country a Wonder of Asia.
