LECS to hold education exhibition in Male

Lanka Exhibitions and Conference Services Pvt Ltd (LECS) together with Maldives Exhibitions and Conference Services (MECS) is set to organize “Youth Vision 2011” a career guidance and higher education exhibition in the Maldives.

The mega event is scheduled to be held from April 7 to 9, at Dharubaaruge Exhibition Hall, Male, in the Maldives Republic. Youth Vision is endorsed by the Higher Education department, the Education Minister and supported by the Maldives Junior Chamber International.

Youth Vision 2011 will create a gateway by inviting all leading educational institutes, schools both local and international creating the most exciting platform for introducing schools and institutions. There is an eager and growing market of prospective students in the Maldives to pursue educational opportunities all under one roof making it a one stop shop for the both prospective students and education providers.

The Maldives one of the countries with highest growth rates and highest per capita income in Asia has a high literacy rate together with a booming economy.

However, in the Maldives there are few opportunities for youth to pursue their careers and therefore there is a growing demand among the youth to study overseas.

LECS Project Manager Sudesh Lenadora said “Market opportunities at Youth Vision are unlimited. Being a part of Youth Vision you can reach a large proportion of the Maldivian market in a short time span.

You can achieve more in three days at Youth Vision than you might otherwise achieve in years.”

The purpose of this event would be to provide opportunity for the youth in the Maldives to gather information on higher education and training opportunities outside the country, network and interact with career and educational counselors and to get an update on new developments in areas of diverse fields.
