Opposition candidates join UPFA

Two Opposition candidates UNP and JVP contesting for Tangalla Urban Council at the forthcoming Local Government Elections met Disaster Management Minister Mahinda Amaraweera and crossed over to the United People's Freedom Alliance, the UPFA candidates Group Leader Anil Sellahennady told the Daily News.

The opposition candidates crossed over to UPFA are M Nuwan Thushara of the UNP and Neheluwa Gal-Etumbage Sumudu Gayan of the JVP.
