Nepal celebrates Maha Shivaratri

NEPAL: Maha Shivaratri, one of the greatest festivals of Hindus is being celebrated all around Nepal by worshipping lord in various ways yesterday.

Tens of thousands of devotees, including some from India, have thronged Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu, a famous temple for the Hindus all around the world. The Kathmandu Post reported Wednesday that some 400,000 to 600,000 devotees are expected to visit the temple.

Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has made some special arrangements for the worship of Pashupati. They had installed 12 taps in the Pashupati Area to help those who want to take a bath before worshipping gods..Meanwhile, Almost 4,000 security personnel have been deployed for security in Pashupati area.
