'Hi-fi' ganja dealer nabbed

A notorious wholesale ganja dealer who lived in luxury with a gold chain with 78 gold coins dangling round his neck to display his extravagance, was caught in the act for the second time when the Nawalapitiya police nabbed him while transporting a large haul of ganja in his luxury vehicle to his four storeyed house in Nawalapitiya yesterday.

Police said the suspect had served a jail sentence for a ganja offence earlier too and got himself released by paying a heavy fine imposed by Courts. The suspect who lives a secluded life, was engaged in retailing the narcotic through his agents to customers in the plantation areas.
