FORTE to the fore

If Jaffna District hospitals notify us of our medical requirements, arrangements could be made to bring a team of doctors required to treat the patients, said FORTE organization President F A Riyas. He was speaking at a conference organized by the Global Hospital Joint Organization FORTE in Jaffna.

Riyas further said that they had come forward to provide this assistance after witnessing the suffering of the patients in Jaffna. They have sent 200 patients to India and Singapore to undergo treatment on subsidised air fare rates and visa facilities. Dr Theivendran of Tinnavelly Nursing Home said that the patients here have to spend lots of money to get specialised treatment at Colombo private hospitals. The people are grateful to FORTE for their magnanimous gesture.SK
