The story tells of Anne’s adventures, an adolescent living in the
Prince Edward Island in Canada. The students commenced practices in
January and fifteen year old Kavishka Fernando was selected to play the
role of the bright and talkative Anne. Those in charge of the production
are Nafisa Amirudeen, Beatrice Devasagayam and Claire de Silva who said,
“Drama plays a big part in the schools’ curriculum. Students are trained
in Drama, Dancing and Singing from a very young age not only in English
theatre but Sinhala and Tamil drama too. The girls worked extremely hard
during rehearsals as a result of which the production has shaped up very
well.”
This weekend will have something breathtaking in store for those
theatre goers when the girls of Bishop’s College take centre stage to
enthrall you with a historic quotient of Drama, Dancing and singing in
its finest form. |
