Kingswood College surprised Wesley College when they gained a first innings win in their schools under-19 cricket tournament match concluded at the University grounds, Peradeniya yesterday.

Kingswood 217 all out and 120 for 6 declared in 40 overs (C S Gunasekera 14, Y A Athukorale 47, D N Medawatte 11 not out, N C Unamboowe 12 n.o.).

Wesley College 142 all out in 40 overs (A D Fonseka 41, R S Suriyakumaran 26, J Cadiramapulle 17, N D Jayawardena 21, A Y Athukorale 4 for 36, C S Gunasekera 2 for 33, G D Hettiarachchi 2 for 21, N C Unamboowe 2 for 23) and 48 for 1 in 15 overs (M S Thowfeek 11, N Perera 16 n.o., J Cadiramapulle 19 n.o.).
