Forces distribute bicycles

Kilinochchi Security Forces Headquarters (SFHQ-KLN) distributed a stock of 125 bicycles and 150 packets of dry rations among the underprivileged people at Akkarayanakulam and Ambalnagar areas in 632 Brigade in Kilinochchi recently.

The Army first identified those families who are in need of such aid in those areas with the support of respective Grama Seva officials.

The ceremony to distribute those bicycles and dry ration packets took place at Akkarayankulam Maha Vidyalaya and Ambalnagar Kalaimagal Vidyalaya. SFHQ - KLN Commander and a host of senior army officers attended the occasions.

Meanwhile, the 571 Brigade troops who took care of the requirements of the kids living in Vivekananda Nagar village initiated renovation work of a pre-school at that village. Sri Lanka Baptist Ladies Club, Colombo assisted them in the program.

The renovation was completed in a few days with army labour and kids started their education aftermath.
