Mobile postal service

Post Master General M K B Dissanayaka said if schoolchildren were unable to collect National Identity Cards (NIC), the Principals could request the relevant Provincial Post Master to set up a mobile postal service in their respective schools.

The issue of new NICs to the new applicants have been carried out throughout the country and students can collect their identity cards even in a day at the postal headquarters, he said.

In addition, Gampaha, Punchi Borella, Kalutara, Galle, Matara, Kandy, Rathnapura, Badulla, Batticoloa, Anuradhapura, Kurunegala, Chilaw and Jaffna post offices are issuing National Identity Cards.
