Dies of hydrophobia after two months

A 10 year old schoolgirl who was bitten by a stray dog died of hydrophobia at the Matara General Hospital after two months.

This was revealed at the inquest held into the death of Nipuni Sanduni Kumari of Paraduwa, Akuressa by Matara Inquirer into Sudden Deaths A B Lalith de Silva at the Matara General Hospital. The mother of dead girl gave evidence at the inquest and the Inquirer recorded a verdict of a death due to hydrophobia.
