If need arises:

Ministry ready to evacuate expats

The External Affairs Ministry works in close coordination with Lanka Embassies in Libya, Egypt and Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment to ensure the safety, security and welfare of Sri Lankan expatriates in Libya.

All the arrangements have been put in place for the evacuation of Sri Lankans should a necessity arises. The Ministry is monitoring the situation and also in constant touch with Libyan Mission in Colombo, states an External Affairs Ministry media release.
