More night food markets

The exhibition of packaging products industry 'Profood and Propack 2011' will be held from August 26 to 28 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo, Sri Lanka Food Processors' Association President Rohantha De Fonseka said. He mentioned this at a Night Food Market held by the Association recently at the Vihara Maha Devi Park.

Profood and Propack will be an ideal opportunity for packaging companies to promote and launch new products in the market place. It invites leading suppliers and exporters to target food companies in Sri Lanka. "The exhibition will be an ideal opportunity for suppliers to meet leading buyers to introduce their range of products and to launch their products in Sri Lanka and the world market," he said. He pointed out that one of the objectives of the Food Night Market is to introduce small and medium scale manufacturers to the market. The other is to provide a opportunity for consumers to buy products at a lower price with a 10 to 50 percent discount.

The Association plans to have this Food Night Market monthly. Plans have been made to have the next market on March 16.
