ETI thrash Com Bank

Edirisinghe Trust Investments (ETI) thrashed Commercial Bank by a massive margin of 168 runs in their first appearance in the MCA B Division tournament, recently at the Colts Cricket ground.

ETI skipper won the toss and decided to bat. DK Ranaweera was the most successful with a century (100) while D Dahanayaka contributed a fine half-century (57). Commercial Bank's bowlers could not offer much resistance and the ETI total was 328 for the loss of six wickets at the end of 50 overs.

S Fernando (3 for 81) was the best among the Com Bank bowlers. In reply, the ETI bowlers left no room for errors and their opponents were bundled out for just 160 runs in 38.5 overs.

M Silva fell for 49 while I Ratnayake (3 for 21) and R Laksiri (3 for 22) bagged three wickets each.
