Chamara's sister passes away

Sri Lanka's ICC Cricket World Cup squad member Chamara Silva's elder sister Mrs. Nelum Anusha Silva passed away last evening. The national team together with the officials paid their last respect and shared their condolences with their team mate Chamara Silva.

Mrs Nelum Silva's body lies at her residence at 199/2 Madupitiya Road, Mawila Panadura. Funeral arrangements will be notified shortly.

Meanwhile the death occurred of P B Tennekoon father of former Sri Lanka captain Anura Tennekoon and Manager of the Sri Lanka World Cup squad after a brief illness in Colombo yesterday.

The late P B Tennekoon was a former DRO and was aged 93 at the time of his death. The National team and the officials paid their last respects and shared their condolences with his family.

P B Tennekoon's body lies at 187, Templers Road, Mount Lavinia. Funeral arrangements will be notified later.
