Lake House donates food rations, essential items

A large consignment of dry food rations and essential items donated
by Lake House with the contributions of its staff, readers and
well-wishers were distributed among displaced families in Anuradhapura
yesterday.
Agrarian Services and Wild Life Minister S M Chandrasena who was
chief guest at the distribution ceremony said Lake House, the leading
newspaper publishing house in Sri Lanka had rendered a vital and noble
national service through this gesture of providing succor to the
displaced people.
Lake House has been in the forefront in assisting people throughout
the country during various national calamities. This gesture by Lake
House Chairman Bandula Padmakumara, members of the Board of Directors
and other staff will be etched in the hearts of the people of
Anuradhapura in letters of gold forever.
The Minister said while thanking Lake House for this noble service he
would wish it further progress and success in all its future endeavours
to be of service to the nation. Lake House Manager Operations and
Welfare Mahendra Rodrigo, Provincial Editor Chula Bandara Kulasekara,
Lake House Anuradhapura Branch Manager Sarath Perera were also present
on the occasion. |
