SLRC gets Rs 54 m Japanese grant
Production facilities improvement:
The Japanese Government will provide a Rs 54 million grant for
Production Facilities Improvement at Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC).

and Planning Ministry Secretary Dr P B Jayasundara signing
the agreement. |
Under this project, a new 3D Animation Studio will be established
enabling (SLRC) to produce new 2D and 3D animation TV programs and it is
also expected to raise the quality of cartoon production in Sri Lanka to
international standards. This Project will be carried out with the
concurrence of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The signing of exchange of Notes pertaining to the Grant took place
yesterday at the Finance and Planning Ministry. Japanese Ambassador in
Sri Lanka Kunio Takahashi, signed the Exchange of Notes on behalf of the
Japanese Government while Finance and Planning Ministry Secretary Dr P B
Jayasundara singned on behalf of the Government.
A grant agreement was also by signed Finance and Planning Minister
Secretry and (JICA) Sri Lanka Office Senior Representative Akira Shimura
on behalf of the Government of Sri Lanka and JICA respectively. Director
General, External Resources Department MPDUK Mapa Pathirana also
participated . |
