Guilty conscious pricks mind

Robbers nabbed with loot:

Guilt and suspense on the part of two notorious robbers helped police to nab them while they were on a looting spree in Buddagaya Mawatha, Anuradhapura yesterday. The duo aged 23 and 24 had entered a house at Buddhagaya Mawatha and robbed cash and other valuable items.

They were leaving with the loot and had seen two constables who were trying to locate an address. Thinking that the cops were in pursuit of them, the two had bolted from the place on seeing the police. The two constables had given chase and nabbed them with the robbed items.

The police found a DVD player, Rs 21,840, nine gold rings, one gold pendant, two bottles of perfume, four pairs of women’s shoes and a screw driver in their possession. Police are investigating.
