Seylan appointment

Seylan Bank has appointed marketeer Tilan Wijeyesekera as Deputy General Manager - Marketing responsible for the marketing, sales and business development functions of the bank.

Wijeyesekera has a wide array of experience including Strategic Planning, Corporate Affairs, Marketing and Brand Management, Business Development, Project Management, Supply Chain Management and Sales.

Wijeyesekera has steered an impressive portfolio of multinational and local brands during his previous stints in Lanka Milk Foods PLC as General Manager - Marketing, Marketing Head at Janashakthi Insurance PLC, Marketing Manager and Business Development Manager at Elephant House and John Keells Group F&B sector, Business Development Manager for Lion Brewery and Brand Manager at Reckitt Benckiser. He was also the Chairman of the Effies Awards in 2009, and Steering Committee member of the Chillies Advertising awards 2008 and a moderator for the international and local judging panel in 2007 and 2008.

He is also one of the leading lecturers in marketing in Sri Lanka.
