Lanka-e-News attack Suspect arrested

Mirihana Police yesterday arrested a suspect in connection with the attack on Lanka-e-News office in Malabe. The office was set on fire Monday around 1.30 am destroying equipment and documents.

Nugegoda Division SSP Deshabandu Tennakoon said that Police has deployed a special team to arrest another suspect.

The Police said that they have got full information on the incident.

It was also revealed that no one had witnessed the arsonists entering the premises.

Inspector General of Police Mahinda Balasuriya has appointed a team to investigate the matter. A complaint has been lodged at the Thalangama Police Station.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa earlier instructed IGP Balasuriya to conduct an inquiry into the attack. YG
