Participating in a media briefing yesterday at the Mahaweli Centre, the party leaders said that the people would be ready to vote for the Government to continue the development activities forward.

Therefore the people tend to vote for the UPFA considering the massive development initiatives carried out throughout the country.

“Whatever the opposition says, without any doubt the UPFA will win the LG elections,” Minister De Silva added.

Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Minister Wimal Weerawansa said the LG polls will be another historic failure for both UNP and JVP. The President who won the war will definitely win the food crisis, the Minister Weerawansa added. Representing the Hela Urumaya, Western Province Provincial Council Minister Udaya Gammanpila said the Opposition has been weakened to the maximum level.
