CPC earns Rs 100 m from Jan 13

The Ceylon Petroleum Cooperation (CPC) has earned Rs 100 million by
selling gas to the LITRO Company from January 13.
Petroleum Minister Susil Premajayantha said after the Government took
over the Shell Gas company, the Ministry was directed to provide gas for
the LITRO company to benefit consumers. The CPC used to supply gas to
the Laughf gas company earlier and began to sell gas to Litro Gas from
January 13, he said.
The Minister pointed out that the CPC produces over 100 metric tonnes
of LP gas daily.
The Sapugaskanda oil refinery supplies 13 percent of the total gas
requirement of the country, he added.
