Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Minister Wimal Weerawansa unveiling the plaque to open the Kirulapone Community Centre.

'Govt bound to develop Colombo'

The Government is bound to develop the Colombo city while uplifting the living standard of the people, Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Minister Wimal Weerawansa said. He was speaking after opening a community Centre at Kirulapone yesterday.

The Kirulapone Community Centre was vested with the public under the patronage of Minister Weerawansa yesterday.

The Community Centre was renovated under the second phase of the Nagamu Purawara Program being implemented by the National Housing Development Authority.

The Minister pointed out the importance of building houses systematically for the people who are living with minimum facilities. The Housing Development Authority has taken measures to construct residential flats at Dematagoda.
