In memory of H A Perera
February 5 marks the first death anniversary of actor cum dramatist H
A Perera. His friends and students have organized a series of programs
to mark the anniversary.
H A Perera commemoration blood donation campaign, Osteoporosis
clinic, cancer identification clinic, eye inspection and distribution of
spectacles and diabetics identification trial have been organized at the
National Blood Centre (Blood Bank), Narahenpita. Professor Carlo Fonseka
will deliver the guest speech on the occasion.
A series of dramas will also be held at the Tower Hall, Maradana,
from February 5 to 7 at 6 pm. The Tamil version of Parakrama Niriella’s
Sekkuva, a Janakaraliya production, will be staged on February 5.
Kalidasa’s Abhignana Shakunthalam directed by Navadharshani Karunaharan
will be staged on Febrary 6. Ravibandu Vidyapathy’s Thala Thalam will be
held on February 7. The Tamil version of Dr Dharmasena Pathiraja’s Kora
saha Andaya will be performed on the same day titled as Kurundanum
Nondium. |
