Epic knock by Sanka

Moratu Vidyalaya allrounder Sanka Ramesh missed a well deserved century by six runs and claimed 4 for 17 in their rain hit inter-school drawn game against Asoka Vidyalaya, Colombo worked off at Moratuwa.

Sanka Ramesh had thirteen hits to the ropes and occupied the crease for 181 minutes and faced 119 deliveries. Now he is the leading rungetter and the wicket taker for the season among the schools with 755 runs and 75 wickets.

Asoka Vidyalya – 74 (Adeesha Kariyawasam 21, Sanka Ramesh 4/17, Sujeeva Liyanage 3/29, Kalhara Peiris 2/5).

Moratu Vidyalaya – 214 – (Sanka Ramesh 94, Kalhara Peiris 31, Avishka Peiris 27 Lahiru Agalawatte 3/74, Madava Madushanka 3/43).

Thomians lead in first innings

S Thoams’ College led St. Jospeh’s College Maradana by 114 runs on first innings in their inter-schools second eleven rain hit drawn game at Mt. Lavinia.
