Through Deyata Kirula Program:
Nearly 70,000 families to get electricity in Moneragala

The Government spends a sum of Rs 1,400 million to provide
electricity for the people of Moneragala district.
More than 70,000 people in Moneragala district will be able to get
electricity directly through the “Deyata Kirula” Program.
It has been planned to spend Rs 344 million for accelerated projects
in Moneragala district, Rs 356 millions for “Vidulamu Sri Lanka
Moneragala”, Rs 155 millions for a 34 kilometre long high tension
electricity line from Tholabowatta to Buttala, Rs 11 millions for the
construction, development and maintenance of the roads parallel to
“Deyata Kirula” Program and Rs 25 million for the supply of electricity
to the “Deyata Kirula” Exhibition premises. Widening of roads and
electrical lines on the Buttala-Kataragama road, Badalkumbura-Buttala
road, Nakkala road and Udawalawe-Thanamalwila road are taking place at
present. |
