Zahira in stunning win over Thurstan

Left arm spinner Pradeep Ananda took a match bag of 12 wickets to spearhead Zahira College to a stunning 135 run outright victory over Thurstan College in their inter-school under 19 cricket tournament match which concluded at Maradana yesterday.

Zahira: 205 and 168 for 9 decl (A. Bohoran 64, M. Raffi 24, L. Edirisinghe 26, M. Basiq 20, P. Arthavindu 3 for 44, S. Wijesinghe 3 for 31, S. Dias 2 for 48).

Thurstan: 149 (H. Dias 49, S. Navaratne 42, P. Ananda 5 for 37, W. Sinnen 2 for 9, I. Mohamed 3 for 36) and 92 (H. Dias 25, P. Ananda 7 for 25, W. Sinnen 3 for 6).

Devin helps Royal

Spinner Devin Pathmanathan captured six wickets for 68 to help Royal College beat De Mazenod College Kandana outright by ten wickets in their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match which concluded at Reid Avenue yesterday.

Royal: 265 for 9 decl and 21 for no loss.

De Mazenod: 59 (I. Khan 3 for 12, A. Kudahetty 3 for 12, D. Pathmanathan 2 for 7) and 226 (S. Anuruddhika 103, N. Costa 31, A. Kudahetty 3 for 38, D. Pathmanathan 6 for 68).

Easy for Panadura Royal

Royal Panadura cruised to a huge 135 run outright victory over Kingswood College Kandy in their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match which concluded at the Panadura Esplanade yesterday.

Royal Panadura: 418 for 4 decl.

Kingswood: 110 (R. Tharindra 5 for 29, D. Vimukthi 3 for 23) and 173 (L. Madushan 41, M. Pramodaka 61, R. Tharindra 4 for 48, D. Vimukthi 4 for 78).

Prabath - Lumbini's hero

Leg spinner Prabath Jayasuriya took a matchbag of 12 wickets as Lumbini MV trounced S. Thomas' College Matale outright by an innings and two runs in their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match which concluded at the Colts grounds in Havelock Park yesterday.

S. Thomas': 89 and 83 (M. Wijetunga 27, P. Jayasuriya 6 for 33).

D. S. Senanayake College took first innings honours over Kalutara MV in their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match which concluded at Kalutara yesterday.
