Transparency Int'l expresses gratitude

To countries who helped flood victims:

The most devastating floods experienced in many parts of the world during the past few decades have resulted in the deaths of many people in a number of countries and damages to houses of tens of thousands of people in countries such as Australia, Brazil and Columbia and also a number of districts in Sri Lanka. Transparency International Sri Lanka, while expressing gratitude to all the countries who came forward to provide assistance to the flood victims, has called for the distribution of aid on a very systematic basis and with transparency without any misuse of such assistance. The organization expresses the hope that the countries would distribute the assistance in a fair manner, learning the discrepancies which took place in the distribution of tsunami aid.

Transparency International expresses its gratitude to the Sri Lanka Government for the prompt action taken to ensure the welfare of the victims by providing timely assistance.
