Republic of Korea (ROK) Ambassador Dr. Choi Ki Chul assured the
safety of all Sri Lankans working in South Korea when he met Health
Minister Maithripala Sirisena recently.
Dr Chul met Minister Sirisena at his official residence and held
discussions in connection with the safety of Sri Lankans working in
South Korea and the assistance provided to Sri Lanka by KOICA.
During the discussion the Ambassador promised to protect all Sri
Lankans and all the other foreigners working in South Korea during a
possible future conflict.
The Korean Government has implemented a well formulated plan to
protect them all, he added.
The Ambassador said the Korean Government will continue to assist Sri
Lanka's development drive without interruption.
He spoke of a program to be implemented soon to exchange experiences
of health staff of Sri Lanka and Korea and commended the Sri Lankan
health staff dedication.
Minister Sirisena said that Sri Lankan health staff have a good
recognition at international level and extended his support towards the
program.
