Woman nabbed with heroin

Ariyapala WANSATHILAKE- Kurunegala Central special corr.

A woman was taken into custody with 4 grams of heroin at the Narammala bus stand yesterday night.

Narammala Police said the suspect was a resident of Narammala. At the time of the raid she was about to sell the drugs.

She was arrested on a tip off from public and produced before the Kurunegala Chief Magistrate Buddhika Ragala yesterday and remanded.

Police said PNB intensified operations against drug dealers after the largest heroin stock of 40 kgs and 30 kgs worth millions was seized in Chilaw Mutukandiya last year.
