Anti-narcotic operation in Colombo

Massive anti-narcotic operations were carried on January 18 and 20 with the participation of 1,664 police officers in several areas around Colombo. The operations were aimed at eradicating the use of illegal drugs.

Police Anti Narcotic division, Police Special Task Force and police officers in Western Province carried out search operations in Dehiwela, Badovita, Kalutara, Nugegoda, Kelaniya, Negombo, Panadura, Kalutara and Mount Lavinia.

The operations were carried out under the inspection of Senior DIG K P G Pathirana.
