Qatar Charity, Muslim Aid donate for flood victims

Qatar Charity in partnership with Muslim Aid Sri Lanka (MASL) joined hands to provide relief to those affected by floods.

MASL provided clothing items, instant food, dry rations, torches and basic medicines. Muslim Aid Sri Lanka also provided purified drinking water and cleaning of water wells through Nomad water purifying systems which were also taken to Batticaloa by the MASL rapid relief team.

Further relief activities, partnering with 'Americares', MASL is providing 3,500 hygiene packs.

The Muslim Aid team will remain in the flood affected areas until the situation subsides while continuing to distribute, non food items, hygiene packs, dry rations, infant milk and conducting water purification work. Muslim Aid Sri Lanka has provided more than 60,000 litres of purified drinking water, 1,300 torches, 5,000 packets of biscuits and eight million water purification tablets.
