New water supply project commissioned

A new water supply project at Bogalkande a remote village in the Ambagamuwa DS division in the Nuwara Eliya district was commissioned by the Ambagamuwa Divisional Secretariat.

The Central Provincial Councillor G M M Piyasiri funded Rs 30,000 from his decentralized budget for implementation of the new water supply scheme which was a long felt need for the village of Bogalkande.

With the commissioning of the new water supply project several families of the Bogalkande village who were greatly inconvenienced in obtaining water for their drinking and household chores during the past few years have been able to get a regular water supply.
