Bus kills infant, man on tank bund

A father and his two-month-old infant died and another was injured when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a bus on the Kandalama Tank bund road and fell into the Kandalama tank around 10 a.m. yesterday.

The injured is the child’s mother. Police investigating the incident believe that faulty brakes in the bus had caused the accident. Dambulla Police is investigating under the direction of OIC Inspector Janath Weerasinghe and supervision of SSP Tilak Abeygunewardene.
