STF SI arrested for drug dealing

Ududumbara police arrested a Special Task Force(STF) police Sub Inspector for ganja trafficking in the Kandy district. Police found cannabis weighing over 450 grams in the possession of the suspect.

Two police officers nabbed the suspect after disguising themselves as buyers. According to Police the suspect is presently deployed for duties in the Eastern region. When he was on leave he used to bring cannabis with minimum of security checking by misusing his police identification for a period of time.

A three wheeler belonging to the suspect was also seized. Ududumbara police are investigating.
