Workshop

A tele conferencing workshop on Information Technology for provincial correspondents organized by the Information Department and the Distant Education Service of the Higher Education Ministry will be held on February 1 at 10 co-ordinated centres countrywide.

The workshop which includes internet, e-mail, picture editing, and uploading visuals will be conducted by S T Nandasena, Senior Lecturer attached to the Colombo University’s Institute of Computer Technology who will function as the Chief Consultant.

The workshop will be held at centres selected from the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Matara, Galle, Ratnapura, Ampara, Jaffna, Batticaloa, Vavuniya, Trincomalee, Polonnaruwa, Badulla, A’pura, Moneragala, Hambantota, Kegalle, Kurunegala and Kandy districts.

Those wishing to attend the workshop should send in their applications to the Director General of Information, Department of Information, Colombo 5 on or before January 21.
