WCMT EDEX Silver Sponsor

Western College for Management and Technology (WCMT) a Board of Investment approved institution will be associated with EDEX 2011 as the Silver Sponsor. EDEX 2011 is an event that provides Sri Lankans the avenue to interact with several institutions in higher education all under the same roof and gain information.

The Bolton University, UK will establish its second branch campus in Colombo to be housed at WCMT.

Both the University and its partner, the BOI approved WCMT, have identified Colombo as an ideal location for the new Bolton campus.

The WCMT campus is designed to be a state-of-the-art facility strategically located on Galle Road and will be accessible to students from across Colombo and the suburbs.

WCMT commences academic operations through February 2011 with its hybrid program in Business and Computing.

Starting February Sri Lankan students will be able to pursue Business Management and Computing programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels with six programs.

Starting Fall 2011, a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering, business and computing will commence in Colombo with scheduled online classes.

Bolton University is one of the UK's fastest growing Universities. September 2011 applications have increased three fold compared with UK national average. The University has received the highest recommendations for its recent UK teaching quality audits.

The eighth EDEX Expo which is a project of the Royal College Union will be held on January 22, 23 and 24 at the BMICH Colombo and on 26 and 27 at the Kandy City Centre.
