Pensions for Samurdhi recipients

Three thousand Samurdhi recipients in the Kandy district will be given pension rights this year, Deputy General Manager of the Pensions Unit of the Kandy District Social Protection Service Nimal Gunasekera said.

Accordingly pension rights will be given to 700 garment sector employees, one hundred men of arts, 150 factory workers, two hundred pre-school principals, 500 self-employed persons, he added.
