In the Colonel Henry Steele Olcott Memorial School Cricket Tournament
concluded last January 10. Dharmapala College emerged champions in a
keenly contested game against Ananda College in the final.
Dharmapala who batted first were 70 for two in 5 overs with Hasitha
Nirmal’s brilliant knock out of 35 n/o. In reply Ananda was just 3 runs
short of the Dharmapala total with three wickets down in five overs.
Hasitha Nirmal of Dharmapala was adjudged the man of both tournament and
of the final, while Vihanga Kalhara (Rahula) was awarded best batsman of
the tournament. Best fielder of the tournament was Sameera Chaturanga
also of Rahula and Rasitha Jayaratna (Ananda) became the best bowler of
the tournament.

Ananda: 3/67 (Wimaladharma 25, Samarakoon 31 n/o, Nirmal 1/16, Gamage
