A fine art form which has been dominating the screens since the TV set came into being, an art which gropes every sense of the body for the one who performs and the one who watches and an art synonymous with beauty, colour, music and rhythm.

It is none other than dancing, varied in many cultures and evolving with time.

Sirasa TV has an unchanging viewer base for its spectacular dance shows, where new dancers are given a platform and novel dance forms are introduced day by day.

Nethra has been a specific dance show over the years capturing audience young and old for the glamour, color and creative beauty it disseminates. For the new year beginning Nethra has been revamped, restructured for the show to be bigger, better, brighter filled with a superb line up of performances.

The stage will be lit with glitzy Indian folk, heavy western and colourful oriental and contemporary dance numbers from around the globe. With a danseuse host and Beauty Queen Gayesha Perera anchoring the show, it promises to end the busy week on a beautiful, relaxing note.

As young and vibrant professional dancers take the stage with scintillating numbers it would be an outright tough hunt to find the Best of the Best in versatile dancing.

As youngsters slide into their costumes and dance shoes gets worn out, an all new Nethra unfolds every Friday on Sirasa TV at 6.30 pm.
