Olympic Diploma certificate award ceremony

The certificate awardceremony of the first ever Olympic Diploma Program in Sri Lanka will be held at the Olympic House Auditorium at Independence Avenue Colombo today starting at 4.00 pm. There will be 13 students who completed the one year diploma receiving their certificates at today's ceremony. The program included covered areas such as sports marketing, sports administration, Olympic values, organizing international sports events, human resources, sports low and basic sports medicine.

The program was conducted by National Olympic Diploma Program director B L H Perera who was nominated by the IOC.

The Sri Lanka National Olympic Committee (SLNOC) is the first in South Asian region to conduct the program which was funded by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

SLNOC president Hemasiri Fernando said that this program will continue to be an annual event.
