Bandaranaike MMV and Panadura Royal enter semis

Bandaranaike MMV, Gampaha and Royal College, Panadura made a
spectacular entry into the semi finals while recording two stunning
victories in their inter-school under 13 cricket tournament quarterfinal
matches worked off in Colombo yesterday.
Bandaranaike MMV knocked out the favourites St. Joseph’s College on a
faster run rate at the Shalika ground in Narahenpita while Royal
Panadura had the better of Nalanda College by 38 runs in their fixture
played at Ananda Mawatha.
Meanwhile Richmond College Galle also joined the semifinal lineup
with a convincing 41 run victory over Thurstan College in their
quarterfinal fixture played at Royal College ground, Reid Avenue.
At Shalika ground Narahenpita:
Bandaranaike MMV: 174 for 9 in 50 overs (M. de Silva 21, A. Perera 5
for 79).
St. Joseph’s: 107 for 6 in 33 overs (S. Rodrigo 20, J. Seneviratne 25

At Ananda Mawatha:
Royal Panadura: 172 for 8 in 50 overs (N. Danushka 27, R. de Silva

Nalanda: 134 in 40.2 overs (D. Wijeratne 42, S. Fernando 4 for 22, S.
