Last year it was a seven day countdown to Christmas but this year the artistic dwelling at Gandhara is illuminated with sets of scented candles of various colours and shapes. Walk into the store which is well known for its unusual and artistically antique creations and become overpowered by the spirit of the season. Candles, décor or small showpieces to enhance your Christmas aura, Gandhara has it all under one roof.

Visitors to Stratford Avenue will certainly be enthralled by the festivity which unfolds, spiced by the essence of various flavours. There are your traditional yet high quality candles while there are the unusual lookers which make you pause and take another look. Oranges. Apples and pears are perfect to add the seasonal touch to your table while flowers like frangipani add elegance to your home. Drop them in a bowl filled with water and set them alight and these floating beauties will bring a whole new outlook to your home.

The shop also includes a stunning range of candle holders to go with the candles. They come in various sizes and shapes and will no doubt add a revamping touch to any home.

Though red and green are the seasonal colours there are many diverse shades for those who wish to give a different look to the season.

"Candles are the in thing of the season. Many people have already purchased them and we have already sold a large amount of candle holders.

Gandhara is well known for quality products and our candles are no exception. We vie to deliver the best for our customers," a Gandhara spokesman said adding that many more seasonal products will make their appearance at the shop towards the festive season.

Stunning décor

"We have citronella scented candles to keep the mosquitoes a bay while cinnamon scented candles add a spicy fragrance to the air. The candle holders are from Sri Lanka as well as coutries like China, Thailand and Indonesia. A range of Christmas tree decorations are also on offer," he further commented.

With glitter, candles and bulbs, the festive season will no doubt set your dwelling alight. Yes it is going to be a 'bright' Christmas indeed for Gandhara fans.
