The LSSP has strived throughout history to build a society where
everyone enjoys equal benefits, Prof Vitarana said.
The Minister addressing a press conference at the Dr N M Perera

society. He said the party being the oldest political party in the
country fought against the imperialists who exploited the country's
resources.

Maharagama Friday. The party works for the people he said.
The party's main target at that time was to make the country free of
the British crown. The country was freed under the Republican
Constitution presented by Dr Colvin R de Silva.
"As a party we are bound to create a Sri Lankan nation and a Sri
Lankan culture. Under new liberal policies the USA exploits the country.
However under the Mahinda Chintana the country has the opportunity to
defeat these backward ideas."

build a equal society in the country.
The LSSP is the party which mainly influenced the country's economy
and culture. "We fought against the caste difference and imperialism."

destroy Buddhism.
